Camino South Istria is a circular route that covers the entire area of southern Istria, with a total length of slightly more than 180 kilometres.

In cooperation with the Brotherhood of St. James, the Camino route was designed with the aim to become a part of the Croatian Camino route as part of the European network of pilgrimage routes of St. James. The project includes the restoration of medieval pilgrimage routes through Croatia on the way to Santiago de Compostela.

The Camino route is divided into seven pilgrimage chapters, in particular, the seven days that are needed to truly experience the historical, cultural, and especially sacred heritage immersed in impressive natural environment and unique urban areas.

The route will be marked, as in the rest of Europe, with a bright yellow stylized shell - Jacob's scallop (applied on a dark blue background) as a recognizable attribute of the saint.
