One of the main processions is held in Ližnjan on the day of St. Martin, because this saint is the patron saint of the parish.
A fair is held on that day, when merchants used to come to the square (Placa) to sell various goods. Even today, people from the surrounding villages and relatives come together on that day, a dance is held as well.
Women would make a wheel-shaped cake made of yeast dough - decorated with zigzag incisions. In the morning, they would prepare žbruvada (sour cabbage), as well as mutton soup and stew. Each house received a lot of guests, and when leaving everyone would get a cake tucked in their hand. People enjoyed the wine that had matured in that period, they used to say: Kad se vrže između dva dna, da se gleda otkud se ga da! (When you put the wine between two bottoms, you have to be able to see through it).
